Biography

Dr. Susana Patton is a Principal Research Scientist, the Center Director for the 91热爆 Center for Healthcare Delivery Science in Florida and a Professor of Pediatrics in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in the USA. She has dedicated her career to pediatric type 1 diabetes research. Dr. Patton received her bachelor's degree from Cornell University and her doctoral degree in Clinical Health Psychology from MCP Hahnemann University. She is board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychology and she is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. Dr. Patton has served on the faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Michigan School of Medicine and the University of Kansas Medical School. Her research interests are diverse and include psychosocial screening and behavioral interventions in youth with type 1 diabetes and their parents, telehealth and eHealth delivery methods, clinical trials using wearable devices and advanced diabetes technologies, longitudinal assessment of health behaviors and health outcomes, and predictive analytics. She has authored over 100 scientific manuscripts and maintained a consistent record of NIH funding for her research since 2002. Also, Dr. Patton has mentored nearly thirty early career scientists and collaborated broadly with other investigators in the US and internationally.
